Intersect Announces Results of 2025 Board Elections

In a landmark election, Intersect is pleased to present the results of the 2025 Board of Directors election, with 269 unique members participating in the vote, representing 22% of all eligible members, four of the seven elected representatives were directly chosen from a pool of 20 initial candidates, a result that exceeded the required threshold of 10% and underscored the strength of member engagement.

Four newly elected members will now take their places on the Board, bringing fresh perspectives and strengthening a member-led, member-backed future for Intersect.

Intersect Development Update #81 – September 26

Welcome to Intersect’s Development Update #81. This week, Board election voting officially closed, a milestone moment as Intersect moves to a majority of elected Board members. With results due on September 30, the focus now shifts to committee elections, which will open for candidate registration on October 1.

We also share the latest updates on vendor milestone completions, GovTool development progress, and Civics updates, as well as highlights from India Codex 2025, preparations for TOKEN2049 Singapore, and new initiatives from the Open Source Committee.

Intersect Board Elections 2025: Final hours to vote -All 20 candidates at a glance

We’ve gathered all twenty candidates from the 2025 Intersect Board elections into one place to introduce them, give each the same chance to be heard, and provide members with the context to vote with confidence. This includes a neutral summary of the cross-cutting themes from all the X Spaces, along with one short quote per candidate.

Each X Space followed a consistent structure: an introduction, an application-based prompt question, two shared questions, and two 2-minute closing statements. For fairness, quotes are from intros or closing statements only (lightly edited for clarity). If someone couldn’t speak live, we’ve included a clearly labelled [Application excerpt] of the same length.

Intersect Committee Elections 2025 – Candidate registration is open!

Following September’s Board elections, we now move into the second half of Election Season 2025. From noon UTC on October 1 to 24, members can stand as candidates in the committee elections for all Intersect committees, with every single committee seat being filled by an elected member. In each election, about half of the seats are up for election. This process ensures that core business knowledge is preserved and passed on to new members.

As a token of appreciation for the volunteer time, effort, and expertise contributed by members in fulfilling their committee duties, service rewards of 500 ada per month are available to all elected members, with an additional 500 ada per month for committee chairs. These amounts may be reviewed annually.

These committees have an important advisory role. They provide technical advice and guidance, scrutinize budgets, oversee security, make recommendations for ecosystem growth, and help to ensure Cardano remains at the forefront of blockchain innovation. From the Technical Steering Committee, which guides core development, to the Membership and Community Committee, which shapes our collective experience, every committee directly impacts your Cardano journey.
