Intersect Development Update #9 – April 12th
Welcome all! It’s a pleasure to be able to return with another Intersect development update! As always, it’s been a busy week. With so much happening across the membership base, whether in committees or working groups, to events and governance developments, bringing it up to the surface is a constant challenge. This week’s update spotlights a new Cardano backlog working group, the new Technical Steering Committee space, and an exciting new marketing working group! Plus, we’ve got more on member orientation, grants, Intersect in Tokyo, and more.

Another week, another Intersect development update! This week, we spotlight: member orientation, committees & working groups, Cardano continuity, the grant projects currently underway, and an update on governance tooling.
Cardano continuity – resilience, innovation, security, and transparency
Intersect facilitates the continued growth and continuity of a decentralized and inclusive self-sustaining Cardano by providing additional governance processes and structures that enable the Cardano community to advance the protocol together. This includes maintenance, development, testing, fundraising, infrastructure, and support initiatives—all initiated and driven by committees and working groups. As a community-governed blockchain, this means caring about the technology and processes, enabling technical progress and consensus through discourse and collaboration.
Cardano has an underlying operational cost for keeping the network running each year. This includes maintenance, upgrades, and a variety of technical innovations to ensure Cardano continues to be a current and leading blockchain. Initially, for 2024, members of Input Output Global and EMURGO funded Cardano’s continuity. This funding enables a collection of members to continue supplying technical services to deliver the core operations.
Intersect Development Update #7 – March 29th
As Q1 wraps up, let’s dive into this week’s update. Spotlights this week include launching global community hubs starting in LATAM and Japan, upcoming new member area on our website (including announcing membership tiers).
